I am relatively new to the air fryer world, but am completely hooked! I have been playing with different ingredients and air frying them with all the benefits of old school fried foods, but using no oil. This means you have healthy, crunchy and tasty meals in a fraction of the time with literally no mess.
I wasn’t always a fan of tofu as I never really knew how to prepare it. Having had really bad versions over the years, I wasn’t eager to experiment…until now. This marinade is my standard house marinade. It is also fantastic with sliced sweet potatoes, all of your favorite spring and summer veggies as well as your favorite protein.
This marinade also makes a fantastic salad dressing (add a little olive oil) or is great tossed with warmed brown rice or quinoa. Get creative and start air frying (if you haven’t already), it makes cooking much more fun!
Air Fried Tofu with lime
This tofu is so aromatic with the fresh lime!
- Prep Time: 10 minutes
- Cook Time: 15 minutes
- Total Time: 25 minutes
1 Block extra firm tofu (drained, rinsed & cubed)
2 tablespoons gluten-free tamari or soy sauce
2 tablespoons Braggs Amino Acid
1 tablespoon toasted sesame oil
2 tablespoons seasoned rice vinegar
1 tablespoon agave
zest of a lime plus juice
1/2 teaspoon granulated garlic
cracked pepper to taste
Add cubed tofu to a large mixing bowl and add all ingredients. Toss to coat, cover and place in fridge for about an hour (up to 2 hours). Once ready to air fry, remove tofu from the marinade and place in your air fryer at 400 for 15 minutes. Serve warm over your favorite rice or grain and top with a vibrant salad of your choice. Enjoy!
