Julie’s Balsamic Vinaigrette
My friend Leslie asked me how to make a balsamic dressing like they serve in Italian restaurants. Here’s my rendition, which takes only minutes to whip together. You’ve got to love homemade dressing! For a really smooth and thick dressing, use a stick/hand blender.
- Yield: 1 1/2 C 1x
- 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
- 3 to 4 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 2 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 2 cloves garlic, pressed
- Freshly ground pepper
- Salt to taste, if desired
- In a bowl or glass jar, whisk all of the ingredients together until emulsified. Store dressing in the refrigerator until ready to use.
